The final title in Beckett's existential triology following 'Molloy', and 'Malone Must'. 'En attendant Godot' was completed in the interim between the latter two titles in the triology, in 1949. L'Innommable was completed in 1950, though not published until some three years later (the same year Godot premiered at Théâtre de Babylone in Paris)

First edition, after 50 copies on vellum. Octavo, publisher's cream paper wraps with the title and design printed to the front wrap in black and blue, and advertisements for three other Beckett titles on the rear wrap. Publisher's original glassine wrap remains intact save for a small nick to the spine and wear at spine ends. Wraps are toned in line with the glassine, with no other obvious stains. Page block remains tightly bound with all edges uncut, with the title page unopened. Pages block is consistenlt toned throughout, ownership inscription of James Green in ink to the front free.
